Drawing from the modernist literary tradition of erasure poetry, the series takes on an 1910 London magazine article titled < Chinese in England, A Growing National Problem >, one of the earliest representation of the Liverpool Chinese community in popular media. Sentences of explicitly racist descriptions of the Liverpool Chinatown were erased, the remaining words form an alternative narrative that reference the deportations in the 40s.
